Ms Anita Sukumaran

Ani is a Product Manager at Positive Solutions, a UK software company serving community pharmacy. She works across a range of products spanning dispensing, patient records and medicines supply, and much of her work involves the NHS and the national services that community pharmacy depends on.

She has spent her career in clinical and pharmacy software, in the US and the UK. Before moving into product management she worked in support, quality assurance and QA leadership, running teams of over a hundred across departments, and has worked on clinical trials management software and with pharmaceutical clients.

Her interests lie in medicines data: how it is captured in clinical systems, how it moves between them, and how it can be put to use in research and in improving patient care. She has a particular interest in interoperability between pharmacy systems and the wider health record.

Ani holds an MSc in Health Data Science from the University of Birmingham. Her Master’s research applied meta-analysis to IDH wild-type and mutant glioblastoma expression profiles, integrating transcriptomic datasets across studies to identify candidate therapeutic targets.
