Jonathan is a PhD student on a NIHR doctoral research fellowship at the University of Leicester researching methods for evidence synthesis in rare disease natural history modelling.

Rare disease research often involves the use of multiple, small, heterogeneous data sources and a failure to account for this heterogeneity in natural history models can lead to biased estimates of disease progression.

He is also working part time as a research associate on a project assessing temporal recalibration and other model updating techniques for prognostic models.

More generally, Jonathan is interested in the statistical methodology of standard and multi-state survival analyses, the simulation of survival data and the integration of PPI into methods research as well as applied research.
