With a long career in informatics and IT management and consulting, Andrew brings his knowledge and experience of designing and implementing large scale systems in the government and NHS sectors to Digital Notts.

Andrew first joined the NHS in 1992 as a director of an IM&T service in Manchester, before taking his skills to Birmingham where he worked in University Hospital Birmingham, the local health authority, and in various healthcare settings in senior ICT roles. In 2011, Andrew took up the national role of interim director of data services at NHS Digital (formerly known as HSCIC) before joining the team in Nottinghamshire as head of health informatics.

Since joining the Nottingham and Nottinghamshire ICS in 2019, Andrew has led on strategy, interoperability and the next generation of Shared Care Records. Outside of his role, Andrew enjoys going to the gym and walking the hills of the UK, most often with his wife and 4 adult children.
