Biography

With 11 years of experience in the NHS across acute, community and CSU organisations, Jo brings deep insights into multiple healthcare services, specialising in Urgent & Emergency and Community services.

In her journey, she has led pivotal data strands in numerous projects contributing to positive outcomes, often in groundbreaking areas – for instance bringing real-time data to her previous Trust at no cost. Jo’s creativity, strategic thinking and drive to overcoming obstacles earned her a top three spot in the Lincolnshire Healthcare System award, under the category of Contributions to the Healthcare System.

Her values of honesty, teamwork, making a difference, authenticity and kindness have enabled her to build strong relationships with clinical leaders and assist them to unlock the power of data to elevate their services and staff. Jo is known for being an honest communicator who is able to translate complex technical insights into clear, understandable language for non-technical stakeholders. By making data relatable and accessible, her work empowers decision-makers to navigate the intricacies of healthcare delivery with confidence.

Jo is passionate about sharing skills, building competencies and developing great teams. As a skilled SQL and Power BI professional, she has empowered numerous individuals through effective training of these technical tools. She has spoken on the data panel at the national Urgent & Emergency Care Conference and also played a key role in beta testing the Analytical Competency Framework for NHSE.

Beyond the world of data Jo enjoys playing the guitar, managing projects to restore asylum cemeteries, and volunteering with various environmental charities. She has a soft spot for cats, heavy plant machinery, and freshly baked bread.
