Hayley Grafton is an experienced nurse and a passional digital health leader, with over twenty years Nursing experience. Hayley has recently taken up the position of Chief Nursing Information Officer (CNIO) at University Hospitals of Leicester. Hayley moved to Leicester from The Royal Marsden Hospital where she had four successful years as their CNIO, and successfully led Nursing and the Allied Health Professional cohorts through the implementation of a Trust wide, enterprise Electronic Patient Record.

Hayley describes herself as a ‘Nursey Geek’ and has successfully completed the ‘NHS Digital Academy’ and achieved a master’s degree in digital health leadership. Hayley is currently an elected panel member of the Digital Health Networks CNIO Advisory Panel, working with colleagues across the Nation to provide steer on topical Digital Health issues and CNIO practice. Work in this space has included assisting international colleagues with accreditation and serving as mentor to new and aspiring CNIOs.

Hayley balances her busy career while being a mother to three young children and is an advocate for female leaders and working mothers and believes they really can have it all!
