Biography

Faye Moore is a Senior Research Nurse at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust.

Faye qualified in adult nursing from Coventry University in 2003.  She then specialised in trauma and orthopaedics and worked at various hospitals across Coventry and Warwickshire.

With a passion for continuous improvement, Faye then joined the world of research and development (R&D) in 2010, and become the Clinical Research Nurse Manager at The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital NHS foundation Trust in Birmingham where she helped build the R&D Department from scratch. The Trust grew to become the most research active specialist orthopaedic hospital in the UK.

Faye graduated with a BSc in Adult Nursing in 2003 and also holds an MSc in Health Research, which she obtained from the University of Warwick in 2018.

Faye now leads a team of research staff who manage a comprehensive portfolio of research across multiple clinical specialities throughout the Trust.

Faye has always had an interest in health data and is keen to explore how routinely collected data can be used efficiently as part of clinical research, to help make discoveries that ultimately improve peoples lives.

Faye is currently exploring how nurses and other clinical research staff can become actively involved in the HDR UK Midlands mission.

Outside of work, Faye enjoys baking and lots of outdoor adventures with her family.
