Dr Sarah Seaton

Biography

Sarah Seaton graduated with a degree in Mathematics from the University of Wales before competing an MSc Medical Statistics and a PhD in Neonatal Epidemiology at the University of Leicester.

Her research interests are in the healthcare needs of children aged under two years. She focusses on their need for intensive care making use of routine data sources such as the Paediatric Intensive Care Audit Network (PICANet). She is experienced in the linkage of large routine datasets including PICANet; National Neonatal Research Database and Hospital Episode Statistics. Her work has been funded by several fellowships and she is currently funded by an NIHR Advanced Fellowship. As well as her PhD students, she also supervises students on the MSc Quality and Safety in Healthcare; MRes in Applied Health Research and MSc Medical Statistics degrees at the University of Leicester.
