Dr Megan Rutter

Dr Rutter is a dual Rheumatology and General Internal Medicine specialist registrar (ST6) who is currently out of programme, having completed a PhD at the University of Nottingham.

Her research interest is rare autoimmune rheumatic diseases and the title of her thesis was “Health outcomes in people with rare autoimmune rheumatic diseases before and during the COVID-19 pandemic and the effect of corticosteroids: whole population data from England.”

In 2021 she was awarded a Versus Arthritis Clinical Research Fellowship to fund her research. She also received grant funding from the British Society of Rheumatology and the patient charity Vasculitis UK.
