Dr Ahmed Salih

Ahmed M Salih received his BSc in Statistics and Informatics from university of Mosul in 2007. In 2016, he received his MSc. degree in Bioinformatics from Leicester University, United Kingdom through HCDP program which financially supported by Kurdistan region government.

In 2019, he was granted a position to study PhD in computer science at University of Verona, Italy through the INVITE program co-financed by the European Union within the Horizon 2020 Programme and by the Regione del Veneto. In July 2022 he graduated from Verona university with PhD degree and joined Queen Mary University of London, William Harvey Research Institute, Centre for Advanced Cardiovascular Imaging as a post-doc researcher.

He is currently working at Department of Population Health Sciences at University of Leicester. His research interests include brain and heart aging exploiting machine learning techniques, explainability methods applied to neuroimaging and heart data, and revealing the impacts of genetic and environmental factors on brain and heart phenotypes
