Elevate ECR Series: From Evidence to Action

HDR UK Midlands is pleased to announce the next session in the HDR UK Elevate Early Career Researcher (ECR) Series, a national initiative designed to support and develop the next generation of health data scientists.

Wednesday 10^th September 2025 12.30pm to 1.30pm – online

The next event in the ECR series will focus on women in health data. This session will focus on two HDR UK researchers and their journey ‘From Evidence to Action,’ exploring effective strategies for translating research findings into tangible impact within the health ecosystem, and their personal career journeys.

HDR UK Fellow Ethna McFerran will speak about her journey from clinician to researcher. We then hear from Amy Mizen of HDR UK Wales, who discusses her research into the impact of green space on health, as well as her own career path and how she balances life in academia and beyond.

This session offers a unique opportunity for ECRs to enhance their understanding of impact generation, foster interdisciplinary collaborations, and network with peers and established professionals in health data science.
